Massachusetts Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness Program (MVP)
Southampton is a participant in the Massachusetts Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness Program (MVP). We are exploring ways to improve heat and air quality safety for all, which allows for Southampton to access grant funding to support projects like: Community cooling and air quality center portions of Norris School, possible shade structures or plantings to address the heat island around Norris School during hot weather, and possibly infrastructure to support green energy solutions (like solar) to help offset municipal energy costs at Norris School.
